White willow
is a pain reliever. It contains salicin and salicylic acid. It also reduces
fever and inflammation, which are produced by the body in response to
injuries. It is good for headaches, backaches, nerve pain, tooth ache and
other injuries.

Children

with ulcers or other stomach problems should use white willow with caution,
because it can worsen stomach ills.
It also may
interfere with the absorption of iron and other minerals when taken
internally.
